Job Requirements
- Must be at least the legal minimum age to serve alcohol
- Must have at least 1 year of experience serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue
- Must possess alcohol awareness certification or valid food handler card as required by law
- Must be able to stand, move, bend, stoop, and lift items up to 50 pounds safely throughout the shift
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must have a pleasant and courteous demeanor
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must comply with all safety and service guidelines
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interaction with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government
- Reading and writing abilities for order taking and paperwork
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and through point of sale system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and with good humor
- Be knowledgeable of all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverages
- Consistently check guest identification for age verification
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired guests
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of any service or safety issues
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
