Job Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- 1 - 2 years server experience in a full service restaurant
- Excellent public contact skills
- Ability to meet standards, satisfy customers, communicate effectively, read and write, perform basic math, memorize offerings, and learn dining information
- Physical capability to bend, lift, stoop, carry trays up to 50 pounds, and use stairs extensively
- Ability to obtain and maintain food handler’s card and TIPS certification
- No felony or drug-related convictions within the past 5 years according to Virginia A.B.C. regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years server experience in a full service restaurant
- Excellent public contact skills including tact, courtesy, and patience
- Ability to meet service standards, satisfy customers, communicate effectively, read and write, perform basic math, memorize food and beverage offerings, and convey dining information
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS certification
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests hospitably and serve them efficiently providing proper food and beverage service
- Learn and describe menu items to guests including chef specials
- Suggest wine and other beverages
- Responsible for standard table set-up procedures and cleanliness of the dining room
- Perform other duties as required
