This area houses 88 original buildings and an additional 525 reconstructed buildings that reflect their 18th-century appearance based on extensive archaeological, architectural, and documentary research. The Foundation also manages two premier museums, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, as well as the John D Rockefeller Jr Library, a renowned research facility. Furthermore, Colonial Williamsburg provides five world-class accommodations, including the Williamsburg Inn and Williamsburg Lodge Autograph Collection, along with several restaurants and taverns offering guests a blend of historically inspired dining experiences with contemporary tastes. Annually, the institution attracts over 5 million onsite visitors and engages an additional 20 million people digitally, making it a vital cultural and educational resource that connects people with American colonial history.
