Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
- Knowledge of liquor brands and beverage preparation
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication skills
- Valid alcohol awareness certification or food handler card
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to handle, carry or lift items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move about for entire shift
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel as required
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Other languages preferred
- Must be courteous, pleasant and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and staff
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic math skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energy, outgoing and fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff using verbal methods and point of sales system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
- Be knowledgeable about all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverage items
- Consistently check guests' identification to ensure minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption and notify management of excessive consumption or impaired condition
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of any service or safety issues
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
