Job Description

Limelight Hotels by Aspen One are a collection of hotels that embody authentic, contemporary connections to their communities and surrounding adventures. These hotels are situated in the heart of unique and elevated locations, each thoughtfully crafted with distinctive design elements and purposeful functionality. The aim is to foster a sense of place and a specific point of view, enhancing the overall guest experience. Their properties are currently located across Colorado in Aspen, Snowmass, Denver, and Boulder (with Boulder opening in August 2025), as well as in Ketchum, Idaho, Mammoth, California (opened December 2025), and Charleston, South Carolina, which is set to open in 2028.

The Cocktail Server role at Limelight Hotels represents an integral position within the hospitality team. The Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering exceptional service by serving a diverse selection of food and beverages, including cocktails, wine, and other drinks, to guests in a cordial and professional manner. This position is essential in creating a positive atmosphere within the dining establishments, ensuring that each guest’s experience is enjoyable and memorable.

This full-time evening role operates from 3 pm to close, providing a dynamic work environment where service excellence is prioritized. The Cocktail Server must be well-versed in product knowledge, encompassing food items as well as beverage offerings, and proficient in service procedures. Additionally, the role requires adherence to compliance standards such as Colorado liquor laws and company policies.

Beyond basic service responsibilities, the Cocktail Server is tasked with operational duties including managing the cash bank, utilizing the Point-of-Sale system efficiently, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the bar area before, during, and after service. They must effectively communicate guest feedback or concerns to management, contribute to a team-based environment by assisting other departments as necessary, and complete tasks delegated by supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of serving or bartending experience required
  • 1 year of advanced beverage knowledge preferred
  • Ability to reach crouch kneel stand walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to occasionally lift push or pull up to 50 lbs individually or with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of serving or bartending experience required
  • 1 year of advanced beverage knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products offered
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to do basic problem-solving
  • Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes customer flow environments and tasks
  • Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing to team members and customers

Job Duties

  • Ensure friendly greeting to all guests while served within established procedures and standards
  • Proficient in all bar menus and can describe all menu items to a guest if when necessary
  • Responsible for bank ensure its safe return deposit
  • Ensure adequate working knowledge of the Point-of-Sale System
  • Accountable for securing payment from guest
  • Clear clean and reset bar during service
  • Responsible for proper opening and closing of bar
  • Make managers aware of all guest comments and complaints
  • Familiar with Colorado liquor laws
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by the manager
  • Assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand
  • Other duties as assigned
