Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- must obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- ability to work weekends and holidays
- ability to stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- a combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
- previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
- ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
- must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- availability to work on weekends and holidays
- ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Serves and actively promotes food and beverage offerings
- take and accurately input food and beverage orders from guests
- presents menus in a courteous and professional manner, offering guidance and answering inquiries about food and service
- demonstrates extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits and strong wine expertise
- follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times
- process payments, including cash, credit card, and room charges
- maintains cleanliness and organization of server/bar stations as delegated
- prepares garnishes and sauces as required
- cleans and polishes dining wares
- ensures work and dining areas are clean and appropriately set
- completes opening, closing, and any assigned side work and tasks
- performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
