Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • must obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
  • RBS certification required
  • ability to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • a combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
  • previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
  • ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
  • must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
  • RBS certification required
  • availability to work on weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Serves and actively promotes food and beverage offerings
  • take and accurately input food and beverage orders from guests
  • presents menus in a courteous and professional manner, offering guidance and answering inquiries about food and service
  • demonstrates extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits and strong wine expertise
  • follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times
  • process payments, including cash, credit card, and room charges
  • maintains cleanliness and organization of server/bar stations as delegated
  • prepares garnishes and sauces as required
  • cleans and polishes dining wares
  • ensures work and dining areas are clean and appropriately set
  • completes opening, closing, and any assigned side work and tasks
  • performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
