Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu and specials including wine list and liquor list
  • Understanding of accounting procedures
  • Familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Courteous and pleasant manner
  • Ability to respond patiently and courteously to difficult guests
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to get along with co-workers
  • Present a clean, well-manicured persona
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift
  • Safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over slick, uneven surfaces
  • Transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
  • Continually transport food and beverage items throughout a shift
  • Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu and specials including wine list, liquor list, and special drinks
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures
  • Understanding of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Ability to follow individual restaurant orientation material including rules and philosophies
  • Demonstrated ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Courteous, pleasant, and good natured personality
  • Capability to respond to difficult guests with patience and courtesy
  • Accepts constructive criticism
  • Ability to get along with co-workers
  • Maintains a clean, well-manicured appearance that reflects the restaurant's established image

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests in the restaurant and cocktail area
  • Effectively service a 6 table station
  • Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen both verbally and utilizing the computer register system
  • Present and encourage current promotional information and materials to guests
  • Accurately accept payment from guests
  • Notify guests of any automatic gratuity
  • Perform calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, courteously and with good humor
  • Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of service according to standing operating procedure
