Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language
- must be able to perform simple mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- must be able to manage cash transactions accurately and securely
- must be able to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members
- must be able to have clear and effective communication with guests and team members
- must be able to work under pressure by staying calm and efficient during busy periods
- must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's card
- must obtain and maintain a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
- at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license
- no driving responsibilities required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum six months of related experience or training
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- ability to perform simple mathematical operations
- strong cash management skills
- friendly and efficient customer service skills
- clear and effective communication abilities
- ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Job Duties
- Take orders and forms of payment from guests while adhering to Yaamava Service and Brand Standards
- order all alcoholic beverages from the bartender and pay the bartender for the complete order
- return to guests with beverages and proper change in a timely manner
- prepare non-alcoholic drinks adhering to established processes
- provide attentive and respectful guest service throughout the shift
- complete service check-ins for assigned sections to remove trash, empty glasses/bottles, and ashtrays
- inquire about and provide continued drink service to guests
- adhere to scheduled section and break times
- communicate and work with team members and management to ensure proper floor coverage
- maintain alcohol expertise including knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, garnishes, and presentation standards
- maintain accurate knowledge of beverage prices
- collect accurate payment for drinks using the cash and carry alcohol service system
- maintain a clean, organized workstation and beverage tray including napkins, order pad, pen, and tip cup
- complete daily side-work as assigned
- perform other duties as assigned to support efficient department operations
