Job Description
Blu, located on the 23rd floor with fantastic views of Lake Michigan, is seeking a Cocktail Server to provide top-notch service to guests, including serving high tea during the winter holiday season. The Pfister, a premier luxury hotel in downtown Milwaukee, values outstanding service and seeks passionate individuals to join its team and uphold its iconic legacy.
Job Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service levels for high volume bar
- Must have high knowledge of spirits and beer
- Constant awareness of surroundings, guests' needs, and Corporate standards
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English to communicate with guests and take orders
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- Ability to transport trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift
- Prior cash handling experience required
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn point of sale procedures
- 1 year cocktail serving experience required
- Ability to obtain any government-required license or certificate
- TIPS certification preferred
- Bartender certification preferred
