Job Requirements

  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • at least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue
  • alcohol awareness certification or valid health or food handler card as required
  • ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and move efficiently and safely during shifts
  • ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
  • must be courteous and pleasant
  • must speak fluent English
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
  • knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
  • must meet state legal age requirements
  • must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
  • must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
  • strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
  • alcohol awareness certification and or food service permit or valid health or food handler card as required
  • reading and writing abilities for taking orders and completing paperwork
  • basic math skills for handling cash and credit
  • ability to work nights, weekends and or holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • serve cocktails and or menu items to bar guests
  • up-sell when taking orders
  • be energetic, outgoing, and fun while maintaining professionalism
  • provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
  • communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and using point of sales system
  • communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
  • be well-versed in all concept products and menu items
  • consistently check guests' identification to ensure legal drinking age
  • monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
  • complete all assigned side work
  • accurately account for all sales and payments
  • alert management of service and safety issues and make service recovery gestures
  • promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
  • coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
