Job Requirements

Must meet state legal age requirements
at least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue
alcohol awareness certification or valid health or food handler card as required
ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
ability to stand and move efficiently and safely during shifts
ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
must be courteous and pleasant
must speak fluent English
availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
must meet state legal age requirements
must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
alcohol awareness certification and or food service permit or valid health or food handler card as required
reading and writing abilities for taking orders and completing paperwork
basic math skills for handling cash and credit
ability to work nights, weekends and or holidays

Job Duties

Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
serve cocktails and or menu items to bar guests
up-sell when taking orders
be energetic, outgoing, and fun while maintaining professionalism
provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and using point of sales system
communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
be well-versed in all concept products and menu items
consistently check guests' identification to ensure legal drinking age
monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
complete all assigned side work
accurately account for all sales and payments
alert management of service and safety issues and make service recovery gestures
promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
