Job Requirements
- Must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to handle, carry or lift items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move efficiently throughout the shift
- Capacity to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift as needed
- Certification in alcohol awareness or valid food handler card
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Other languages preferred
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and staff
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state government
- Reading and writing abilities for order and paperwork completion
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
- Be well-versed in all products and menu items to guide and sell
- Consistently check guests' identification for age requirements
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of any service or safety issues
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
