Job Requirements

Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
ability to efficiently and safely stand and move throughout the facility during shifts
capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift as needed
meet legal drinking age requirements
have at least 1 year of experience in bartending or serving
possess necessary certifications such as alcohol awareness and food handler card
be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments preferred
meet state legal age requirements
fluent in English
courteous, pleasant, and good-natured personality
strong communication skills
alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
reading and writing abilities for order-taking and paperwork
basic math skills for handling cash and credit
availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
up-sell when taking orders
show energy, outgoing personality, and professional demeanor
provide outstanding service with a smile
communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally and using the point of sale system
communicate clearly, patiently, and with good humor with guests
be well-versed in all products and menu items
consistently check guest identification to ensure age compliance
monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption
notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
complete all assigned side work
accurately account for all sales and payments
alert management of any service or safety issues
make appropriate service recovery gestures
promote teamwork and quality service
coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for orders and receipt of food and beverages
