Job Requirements

  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to efficiently and safely stand and move throughout the facility during shifts
  • capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift as needed
  • meet legal drinking age requirements
  • have at least 1 year of experience in bartending or serving
  • possess necessary certifications such as alcohol awareness and food handler card
  • be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
  • knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments preferred
  • meet state legal age requirements
  • fluent in English
  • courteous, pleasant, and good-natured personality
  • strong communication skills
  • alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
  • reading and writing abilities for order-taking and paperwork
  • basic math skills for handling cash and credit
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
  • up-sell when taking orders
  • show energy, outgoing personality, and professional demeanor
  • provide outstanding service with a smile
  • communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally and using the point of sale system
  • communicate clearly, patiently, and with good humor with guests
  • be well-versed in all products and menu items
  • consistently check guest identification to ensure age compliance
  • monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
  • complete all assigned side work
  • accurately account for all sales and payments
  • alert management of any service or safety issues
  • make appropriate service recovery gestures
  • promote teamwork and quality service
  • coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for orders and receipt of food and beverages
