The role available is that of a Cocktail Server, a vital position responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through prompt, professional, and welcoming service. A Cocktail Server at Mosaic Ultra Lounge plays a crucial role in the guest experience by greeting patrons warmly, taking beverage and food orders accurately, and efficiently serving cocktails and menu items. The position requires an individual who embodies energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, offering service with a genuine smile to foster a positive and memorable atmosphere. Communication skills are essential, not only for interacting with patrons but also for coordinating with bartenders, kitchen staff, and other team members using clear verbal methods and the point-of-sale system.

The Cocktail Server also must be knowledgeable about all menu items and drink offerings, including liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages, enabling them to guide guests effectively and increase sales through up-selling. Vigilance is required in checking guests' identification to adhere to legal age requirements and monitoring alcohol consumption to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, promptly reporting any issues to management. The server’s duties extend to completing all assigned side work, accurately accounting for sales and payments, supporting service recovery efforts, and promoting teamwork across departments. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to handle items up to 50 pounds and move around the establishment efficiently during shifts. Mosaic Ultra Lounge values applicants who are courteous, outgoing, and possess a positive attitude, with at least one year of serving experience in fast-paced food and beverage venues preferred. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced environment
  • meet state legal age requirements
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card
  • physically able to handle, carry, or lift items up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand and move about efficiently during entire shift
  • able to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed
  • willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue preferably a nightclub environment
  • knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments
  • meet state legal age requirements
  • fluent in English other languages preferred
  • courteous, pleasant, and good natured
  • effective communication skills with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
  • hold alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required
  • reading and writing abilities for taking orders and completing paperwork
  • basic math skills for handling cash and credit
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
  • up-sell when taking orders

  • provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
  • communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and via point of sales system

  • be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverage items
  • consistently check guests' identification to ensure legal age requirements
  • monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to decide when to cease alcohol service
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired guests
  • complete all assigned side work
  • accurately account for all sales and payments
  • alert management of any service or safety issues
  • make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction
  • promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
  • coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
