Job Qualifications

  • knowledgeable of menu items, including mixture and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
  • knowledgeable of wine and champagne characteristics by the glass, major wines, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
  • able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
  • highly motivated and energetic personality
  • knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

Job Duties

  • Marketing and promoting specific events both on property and in public venues
  • take orders, conduct full and complete beverage/food service, and monitor guests' lounge/bar experience
  • present menus, answer questions and make suggestions for all beverages and food items
  • consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner
  • possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the Silverton
  • ability to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis
  • make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
  • clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar
  • knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available
  • ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
  • maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
  • resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
  • otherwise refer the matter to management
  • notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
  • adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies
  • maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County Health Standards
  • flexibility to perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary by management
  • thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures
  • adhere to all appearance and uniform standards
  • maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors
