Currently, Silver Diner is seeking friendly, warm, and energetic individuals passionate about hospitality and culinary arts for the role of Prep Cook. This full-time, first-shift position requires weekend and holiday availability, providing an excellent opportunity to develop a career in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Prep cooks at Silver Diner play an essential role by preparing food in the morning in large quantities according to recipes crafted by the award-winning executive chef Ype Von Hengst. The role involves learning about diverse flavors, global food trends, the different kitchen stations, and career growth through Silver Diner's hat development program, designed to cultivate new culinary skills and foster internal promotion.

The prep cook role demands physical stamina and the ability to work in a rapidly moving, sometimes intense kitchen environment involving heat, refrigeration, equipment like knives, toasters, microwaves, ovens, and handling weighty items up to 50 pounds.
Silver Diner also offers excellent benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, employee assistance, meal discounts, gym membership discounts, and more. The company fosters a fun, fast-paced setting with flexible scheduling options tailored to support employees' work-life balance.
