Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent educational hours or technical school
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid U.S. passport
  • Commercial Multi-Engine Land Certificate
  • Instrument Airplane certification (ATP or ATP-CTP course completion preferred)
  • Current FAA Airline Transport Certification
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certification
  • Minimum 1500 hours total flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 500 hours multiengine airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Ability to devote time for continuing education and proficiency
  • Willingness to attend aviation symposiums and seminars
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, computer and aviation iPad/tablet applications
  • Ability to travel away from home with overnight layovers
  • Ability to travel overseas
  • Ability to work variable and long hours including weekends

Job Duties

  • Safely and proficiently operate private company aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies and manufacturers' recommendations
  • Perform aircraft pre-flight inspection verifying airworthy condition as well as post flight inspections
  • Determine the accurate loading of passengers, baggage and cargo including calculating and solving weight and balance problems
  • Utilize Flight Risk Assessment Tool consistently to assess and mitigate risk
  • Complete records and make appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks/operations forms
  • Collaborate to complete complex and non-routine responsibilities working in an agile environment
  • Apply flight experience to resolve issues
  • Discuss issues with a Senior Pilot
  • Exhibit accountability for work and behaviors
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and foreign regulations
  • Take initiative to discuss assignments, expectations, priorities and deadlines as well as seek guidance and coaching from manager
  • Notify manager when workload is light and volunteer for additional work
  • Adjust quickly to new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures
  • Identify efficiencies to team and manager
  • Document work as part of deliverables resulting in high quality materials for internal and external usage
  • Perform in-flight duties as assigned by the Captain or PIC
  • Perform duties of Pilot-In-Command should the Captain become incapacitated
  • Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
  • Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts
  • Study weather conditions at destination, en route, alternate airports and departure points
  • Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
  • Perform pre-flight inspections as needed
