Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a culinary instructor
- 3-4 years experience in a related culinary field
- culinary degree or equivalent sous chef experience considered in lieu of degree
- ability to multitask and problem solve under pressure
- proven ability to engage and convey information effectively
- ability to maintain positive customer service orientation
- familiarity with MS Office Suite
- experience training and holding teams accountable
- flexibility to work varied schedules
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience as a culinary instructor
- 3-4 years experience in a related culinary field including restaurant cook, sous chef, chef, private chef, catering, recipe writing, or nutrition
- culinary degree or equivalent sous chef experience considered in lieu of degree
- demonstrated ability to multitask and problem solve especially under pressure
- proven ability to convey information to a group in a fun and engaging way
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive customer service orientation
- familiarity with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook
- experience training others and holding teams accountable
- ability to work a varied schedule to teach classes at different times
Job Duties
- Delivers an exceptional cooking class experience at every class and holds the cooking class team accountable to that same standard
- seeks opportunities to increase cooking class and grocery sales
- directs culinary employees to execute sales plans
- works with Store Director to engage with all store employees
- adheres to shopping guidelines to ensure food cost is within budget
- manages classroom inventory, controls shrink, supply and other culinary expenses
- maintains classroom standards of cleanliness and organization
- models and ensures all PCC policies and standard operating procedures are communicated effectively to employees, maintained and consistently followed
- partners with Store Director and Co-op Experiences to identify opportunities to drive increased business results including increased class sales, expanding class offering, and actively growing Private Event clientele pool
- collaborates with store team to ensure a seamless learning environment
- promotes ingredients and seasonal marketing initiatives of PCC Markets
- ensures accuracy and integrity of employee information including Time and Attendance records, work schedule, and personal data
- additional duties as needed to ensure successful execution of the culinary program
