Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge
- must complete CNA training coursework and clinical hours
- basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- proficiency in end of life care, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia care required within six months
- ability to float to other areas of the facility within six months
- excellent organizational skills
- effective human relations and communication skills
- working knowledge of medical terminology
- computer literacy and keyboarding skills
- availability for variable shifts, hours, and on-call duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge

Job Duties
- Complete all assigned classroom, coursework, and clinical hours
- provide daily living assistance and promote patient health
- assist patients with hygiene needs, mobility, safe handling, O2, infection control, and end of life care
- collect patient specimens and data including vital signs and glucose testing
- recognize and report abnormalities or changes in patient health to licensed professionals
- perform procedures and use equipment as delegated, providing support to medical staff
- maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked environment
- provide general support including greeting and assisting patients and performing clerical duties
