Job Description

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked number 1 for safety, quality, and patient satisfaction, stands as the premier healthcare destination in Palm Beach County and the greater Treasure Coast region. Renowned for its outstanding physicians, state-of-the-art facilities, innovative techniques, and a deep commitment to serving the community, Jupiter Medical Center addresses a broad spectrum of patient needs with excellence and compassion. This hospital is notably the only medical center within Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties to achieve a prestigious 4-star quality and safety rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), reflecting its unwavering dedication to delivering world-class healthcare.

As a leading healthcare institution, Jupiter Medical Center optimizes patient outcomes through its multidisciplinary team approach, prioritizing safety, patient-centeredness, and clinical excellence. The organization fosters a supportive and collaborative environment for its dedicated staff, emphasizing continuous education, innovation, and best practices to elevate patient care standards. Joining this esteemed medical center means becoming part of a community-focused organization that values teamwork, professional growth, and compassionate care.

The role of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Jupiter Medical Center is critical within the nursing team. The CNA contributes significantly to the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients by performing specifically assigned tasks under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position entails hands-on patient care that supports the delivery of comprehensive nursing services in an acute care setting. The CNA’s responsibilities include basic patient care activities such as assisting with mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and monitoring patient status, all while maintaining a respectful, empathetic, and professional demeanor.

This role requires not only technical skills but also competencies such as establishing effective working relationships across all levels of the organization, providing peer support, and fostering a cooperative team environment. Emotional intelligence and communication skills are essential to navigate the complex scenarios encountered in healthcare. The CNA at Jupiter Medical Center is expected to act with integrity, champion change and innovation, and promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring respectful, equitable care for all patients regardless of background. The physical demands of the job include frequent walking, standing, stooping, and assisting in lifting patients or equipment, necessitating stamina and physical fitness.

Ideal candidates will possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers. While two or more years of acute care experience is preferred, the organization offers continuous education and annual mandatory training to maintain high professional standards. This position provides an outstanding opportunity for compassionate individuals to make a meaningful impact while growing their career in a supportive and award-winning healthcare institution.
