Established in London in 2017, The Ned has successfully expanded its unique concept to the United States, with its latest location being Ned's Club in Washington, District of Columbia. This newest venue proudly stands in a historic neoclassical building, the Riggs Building, located near President's Park. With its rich architectural heritage and prime location opposite the US Treasury and just around the corner from the White House, Ned's Club Washington DC embodies sophistication, elegance, and exclusivity in every aspect of its operation.

Ned's Club Washington DC is designed exclusively for members and features an array of luxurious amenities including a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant offering panoramic views of iconic landmarks such as the White House, the US Treasury, and the Washington Monument. The club also houses a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, Conservatory, and a private event floor providing versatile spaces suited for a wide range of exclusive member events. The role of Club Receptionist at Ned’s Club is pivotal to maintaining the welcoming and premium atmosphere the club is celebrated for. Positioned in the heart of the club’s ground floor lobby, the reception team serves as the initial point of contact, warmly greeting guests against a backdrop of an impressive art collection and Byzantine style decorative mosaics. As a Club Receptionist, you will be the friendly face and first impression for members and guests, responsible for leading daily arrival and departure processes ensuring seamless check-ins and check-outs. You are integral in championing the ethos of hospitality excellence, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and collaborating closely with all departments to tailor every guest experience.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.00 and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the club’s operational hours. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Previous hotel or reception experience
  • Ability to stand during shifts
  • Ability to grasp turn and hold objects with hands
  • Ability to move quickly between club areas when needed
  • Ability to kneel bend crouch and climb occasionally
  • Must understand and communicate clearly with guests members and coworkers
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Job Duties

  • Lead the day-to-day arrival and departure process ensuring smooth and efficient check-ins for members and guests
  • Champion outstanding hospitality resolving complaints answering questions and delivering memorable experiences
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure a seamless and personalized experience for members and guests
  • Communicate VIP arrivals and pertinent member and guest information to the appropriate teams anticipating and addressing member and guest needs
  • Build rapport with regular members and guests by learning their preferences and personalizing their experience over time
  • Enforce club policies with confidence and professionalism
  • Assist with coat check and the secure storage of members and guests belongings
  • Answer incoming calls and provide accurate helpful information
  • Respond to member queries over email with attention to detail
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Club Reception Manager or Head of Membership
  • Work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
