The role available is a part-time position within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations team at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. This non-management role is centered around ensuring the smooth functioning of the club lounge area, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional guest service. The position offers competitive pay at $25.79 per hour and requires availability on both weekends and weekdays, emphasizing flexibility.
The main responsibilities include managing seat availability and guest well-being in the club lounge, preparing and serving a variety of beverages including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks, and maintaining inventory levels such as ice, glassware, and supplies. The role demands proactive communication regarding restocking needs and strict adherence to safety and security protocols for beverages and storage areas. Additionally, this position involves completing opening and closing tasks, handling kitchen utensils and dishwashing duties when necessary, and accurately documenting department information.

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent, general educational development (GED), no prior related work experience required, no supervisory experience required, no license or certification required
Job Duties
- Control seat availability, service, security, and guest well-being in the club lounge
- maintain cleanliness of bar, bar furniture, tables, and other instruments
- prepare and serve hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages
- stock ice, glassware, and provisions
- anticipate resupply needs and communicate immediately
- wash dishes and kitchen utensils as needed
- complete opening and closing tasks
- requisition necessary supplies from storage to bar area
- secure liquors, beers, wines, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas
- document relevant information in department records
- anticipate extra food needs and communicate special requests to kitchen
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to manager
- comply with company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- greet guests according to company standards, anticipate and respond to service needs, assist persons with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests
- communicate clearly and professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and handle phones using proper protocol
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to achieve common goals
- adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards
- move, lift, transport, push, pull, and position objects up to 25 pounds
