Job Description

Sevilla is a vibrant nightclub known for its dynamic atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and commitment to providing guests with an unforgettable nightlife experience. Situated in a prime location, Sevilla attracts a diverse clientele who come to enjoy expertly crafted cocktails, premium service, and a lively environment that blends music, entertainment, and social interaction. The establishment places a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction, all of which are integral to its reputation and continued success in the competitive nightlife industry.

As a nightclub, Sevilla operates in a fast-paced and often loud environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and proactive service are critical. The club's management is dedicated to upholding state, federal, and company guidelines to create a safe and enjoyable space for both guests and staff. Sevilla values employees who are dependable, positive, and eager to contribute to the team’s overall mission of delivering a first-class experience to every guest.

The role of Porter & Barback at Sevilla is vital to the smooth operation of the nightclub’s bar and guest areas. This position is primarily responsible for the cleanliness, stocking, and maintenance of the bar facilities and surroundings to ensure they meet the company’s high standards. Unlike security staff, the Porter & Barback is not authorized to handle guest relations or intervene in any disputes or security situations; these responsibilities fall solely on the management team.

The Porter & Barback’s key responsibilities include completing opening and closing checklists, maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the club, assisting bartenders and VIP cocktail servers with various tasks, and regularly inspecting the club to identify and address any cleanliness or safety concerns. By supporting bartenders and servers, the Porter & Barback plays a supportive but crucial role in creating a seamless service flow that enhances the overall guest experience.

This role also involves frequent communication with managers regarding maintenance needs, safety issues, or resource requirements. The Porter & Barback is expected to promote teamwork by maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor and always striving to foster a cooperative and efficient work environment. Additional tasks include adhering to company policies on breaks, meal periods, and uniform standards, as well as participating in mandatory training and staff meetings.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have a minimum of one year of related nightclub experience or equivalent training, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficient skills in reading, interpreting company documents, and using basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and the Aloha point-of-sale system. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work on one's feet for extended periods is also necessary due to the physical demands of the position.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in an energetic, engaging nightlife environment with a dedicated team committed to excellent service and operational excellence. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy fast-paced work settings and are motivated by contributing to memorable guest experiences while maintaining a clean and safe atmosphere.
