Job Description
This job posting is for a position at a restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald's USA. This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos, branding, and food products while running the restaurant. However, it operates as a completely separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. All employment matters including hiring, firing, staffing, supervision, scheduling, and disciplinary actions are the sole responsibility of the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. When hired for this job, you will be employed directly by the franchisee, and not by McDonald's USA. This distinction means that McDonald's USA is not involved in your employment decisions and will not receive a copy of your application. The franchisee alone manages all employment-related processes at this location.
This position is part of the vibrant and fast-paced environment of McDonald's, one of the world's most recognized fast food restaurant brands. The role is ideal for candidates looking to work part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule that can accommodate personal ambitions. This particular opportunity is focused on individuals interested in the closing shift, typically ending operations by 1am, which makes it a great fit for night owls. The position is eligible for premium pay of at least $14 per hour for those who commit to working at least four days a week with weekend availability.
Working as a Crew Team Member at McDonald's is more than just delivering food; it is about gaining valuable life skills, growing as an individual, and developing career-enhancing abilities. McDonald's and its independent franchisees place great emphasis on employee education and training through industry-leading programs like Archways to Opportunity. This program offers high school completion courses, upfront college tuition assistance, and English language learning, providing pathways for employees to grow within McDonald's or pursue other future endeavors.
A day in the life of a Crew Team Member entails engaging with customers to create positive experiences, helping customers place orders, preparing McDonald's world-famous food, collaborating with team members and managers to meet daily goals, and maintaining a clean, welcoming restaurant environment. The role requires individuals with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving team atmosphere. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided, empowering employees to excel and build confidence while on the job.
This job offers a unique entry point into the workforce, especially aimed at those eager to grow their skills and have a job that fits well with other full-time ambitions. The environment encourages teamwork, learning, and fun while maintaining high standards of service and food quality. The requirement to be at least 18 years of age to apply as a Closer reflects the responsibilities involved in safely running the restaurant during the overnight hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest global fast-food operators and be part of a team that genuinely cares about its employees' success, education, and future advancement.
