Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to undergo background checks
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing
  • Capacity to operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cleaning or custodial experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safe chemicals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills to interact with staff and visitors professionally
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with organizational requirements for health and safety
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Capacity to operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely

Job Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of all public and private areas within the facility including offices, waiting areas, restrooms, and donor procedure rooms
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to ensure the elimination of pathogens
  • Regularly clean and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or shortages to the supervisor
  • Adhere to all established health and safety regulations, organizational policies, and procedures related to infection control and terminal cleaning protocols
  • Properly dispose of waste including biohazardous materials in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Assist in tracking and managing cleaning supplies inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for effective cleaning operations
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning activities to the Facilities Manager to ensure prompt resolution
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to support overall operational needs and maintain a professional environment
