Job Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing
- Valid active Texas or compact registered nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
- Ability to work full-time
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- Registered nurse with an active Texas or compact license
- Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of hospital setting experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with management
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to support teamwork and improved outcomes
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Implement nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
- Manage staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
- Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment
