Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Valid active Texas or compact registered nurse license
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with an active Texas or compact license
  • Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital setting experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with management
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to support teamwork and improved outcomes
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Implement nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
  • Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment
