Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care is a rapidly expanding healthcare provider dedicated to delivering accessible and high-quality urgent care services to the Dallas Fort Worth area. Established with the needs of North Texans in mind, Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care provides treatment for minor illnesses and injuries ranging from allergies and earaches to sprains and strains. The centers operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 365 days a year, ensuring patients receive timely and convenient care. With multiple locations across the region and plans to open numerous new centers, Texas Health Breeze aims to combine the convenience of urgent care with the trusted expertise backed by Texas Health, one of the largest health systems in the area. Their facilities feature minimal wait times and frequently provide patients with medications on site, improving the overall patient experience. Notably, Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care has earned several recognitions including Best Urgent Care in various local awards and maintains the prestigious Commission on Ambulatory and Urgent Care Quality (CAUCQ) Specialty Training Commendation, an acknowledgment of their specialized clinical and patient experience training programs.

The Clinical Concierge role at Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care is a critical position designed for those with a passion for patient care and clinical excellence. This full-time role based primarily in Frisco, Texas, will have a floating assignment across various urgent care locations within the Texas Health system. Working typically three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating days, weekends, and holiday schedules, the Clinical Concierge ensures a smooth and efficient patient journey throughout urgent care visits. The Concierge not only enhances patient throughput but also performs a variety of clinical functions such as performing and assisting with laboratory tests, x-rays, vitals documentation, and medication administration. They serve as a vital link between patients, physicians, and the healthcare team, responsible for patient registration, payment collection, rooming, and discharge procedures. This role requires discretion, sound judgment, strong decision-making capabilities, and a customer service-oriented attitude to build trust and rapport with patients and their guests. The successful candidate will be well-versed in using electronic health records, have clinical competence in various medical procedures, and maintain certifications such as BCLS and NCT licensure.

Job Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
  • 6 months previous healthcare facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or patient care
  • 6 months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal NCT training
  • NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
  • LVN licensed in Texas if applicable
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant if not completed formal education
  • BCLS certification maintained every 2 years and required within 30 days of hire
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training maintained every 5 years and required within 30 days of hire

Job Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant or vocational nurse program
  • 6 months previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or similar
  • Previous x-ray experience or internal NCT training
  • NCT registered by Texas Medical Board upon hire
  • LVN license if applicable
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant in lieu of education
  • BCLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates data to consumer and provider
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications in EPIC
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders including venipuncture
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication with appropriate verification
  • Assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field and application of ortho-goods
  • Performs diagnostic x-rays within licensed scope and documents completion
  • Behaves professionally and empathetically with consumers and guests
  • Welcomes consumers and guests with eye contact, smile, greeting, and introduction
  • Recognizes and notifies provider of emergent patients and assists with emergency care
  • Schedules primary care referrals
  • Maintains office, medical supplies, and medications at assigned par levels
  • Performs quality checks throughout the facility
  • Other duties as assigned
