Job Requirements

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license within 45 days of hire
  • current BLS Certification or ability to obtain through in-house training
  • minimum one year experience in physician's office or other medical facility preferred
  • exceptions may be made for applicants in externship or residency programs with active or pending WA DOH MA-R certification within 7 days of hire
  • Idaho applicants must have current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT and obtain WA state MA-C license or WA state MA-R license endorsed by Indigo within the first 30 days of employment

Job Qualifications

  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
  • perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
  • advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
  • create and provide a safe and supportive environment for patients
  • support excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance
