Job Description
Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care is a prominent healthcare provider operating across multiple locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area, including Melissa, Texas. Designed and staffed to cater specifically to the needs of North Texans, Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care aims to provide convenient, affordable, and high-quality urgent care services for patients with minor illnesses and injuries. Their centers operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 365 days a year, ensuring minimal wait times and often allowing patients to leave with medications in hand. As part of Texas Health, one of the region's largest health systems, Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care plans to expand to 20 locations by summer 2021, solidifying its presence as a trusted urgent care network. The company is highly recognized for its service excellence, having received multiple local awards such as Best Urgent Care/Walk-in Clinic by the Dallas Morning News and various readers' choice awards in nearby communities. Furthermore, Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care has earned the Commission on Ambulatory and Urgent Care Quality (CAUCQ) Specialty Training Commendation, a testament to its commitment to superior clinical training and patient experience.
The Clinical Concierge Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) role is a vital position designed to enhance the patient experience while ensuring clinical excellence throughout the urgent care visit. The position is full-time and involves working three 12-hour shifts weekly, typically from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. The Clinical Concierge floats across various urgent care locations within the Texas Health network, supporting patient flow and assisting healthcare providers with an array of clinical and administrative tasks. This role demands a blend of clinical expertise, customer service skills, and operational knowledge to facilitate efficient and compassionate patient care.
Key responsibilities include patient registration, payment collection, rooming, and discharging patients, alongside clinical functions such as laboratory testing, x-ray examinations, and supporting providers during treatment procedures. Clinical Concierges must be proficient in performing vital signs assessments, venipuncture, medication administration (both oral and intramuscular), assisting with minor clinical procedures, and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR), specifically using EPIC software. The position also requires the ability to perform diagnostic x-rays within the licensed scope of practice, adhering to imaging protocols and ensuring proper documentation and communication with the radiology department.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate discretion, sound judgment, professionalism, and a customer-focused attitude. The role requires maintaining competency in a range of clinical tasks as team members rotate positions, emphasizing flexibility and teamwork. Additionally, Clinical Concierges must be prepared to respond to emergent situations by providing Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), oxygen administration, and assisting with emergency care as necessary. Texas Health provides extensive training and support for this role, including the opportunity to earn contact hours toward Medical Assistant certification renewal during orientation.
Beyond clinical duties, Clinical Concierges engage in enhancing the overall patient and guest experience by welcoming visitors warmly, managing patient flow efficiently, scheduling follow-up appointments, and maintaining clinical supplies. The role demands familiarity with healthcare facility operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. As part of a respected healthcare system, this opportunity offers employees a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth, nursing education, and research. Benefits packages include medical, dental, paid time off, 401(k), parental leave, and tuition reimbursement, further underscoring Texas Health’s investment in its workforce and community well-being.
