Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training
  • minimum one year of athletic training experience
  • certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) through BOC
  • Arkansas state licensure or ability to obtain before start date
  • teaching certification in secondary education or eligibility to obtain
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • ability to perform both clinical and administrative duties effectively
  • legal authority to work in the United States
  • pre-employment screening including criminal background check
  • submission of required application documents such as license or certificate and resume

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training
  • certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through Board of Certification
  • Arkansas state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
  • teaching certification in secondary education or eligibility to obtain one
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • experience with casting/splinting preferred
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training preferred
  • TAGME certification preferred
  • strong clinical background in athletic training
  • proficiency in evaluating and managing sports-related injuries
  • excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with ACGME accreditation standards preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide appropriate care for athletes and patients including injury evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care
  • educate and advocate for patients, communicating with families and healthcare providers
  • perform administrative duties such as maintaining patient documentation in electronic health record systems, scheduling, and insurance authorizations
  • assist with clinic organization, supply ordering, and inventory management
  • support day-to-day operations and compliance requirements of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program
  • manage and maintain data using New Innovations, ACGME WebADS, and other software tools
  • coordinate schedules, organize meetings and events, and assist in recruitment efforts for residents and faculty
