Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training
- one year of athletic training experience
- certification as athletic trainer through BOC
- Arkansas state licensure or eligibility to obtain before start date
- teaching certification or eligibility in secondary education
- CPR/AED and first aid certification
- ability to work effectively in clinical and administrative roles
- strong communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- experience with clinical documentation systems
- compliance with pre-employment background checks
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's in athletic training
- certified athletic trainer through BOC
- Arkansas state licensure or eligibility to obtain before start date
- teaching certification in secondary education or eligibility
- CPR/AED and first aid certification
- experience with casting/splinting preferred
- master's degree in athletic training preferred
- TAGME certification preferred
- strong clinical background in athletic training
- proficiency in evaluating and managing sports-related injuries
- excellent organizational and administrative skills
- ability to balance clinical and administrative duties
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- familiarity with ACGME accreditation standards preferred
Job Duties
- Provide appropriate care for athletes and patients
- recognize, prevent and perform evaluations in a clinical setting
- initiate treatments
- recommend follow-up care
- educate and advocate for patients and athletes
- communicate effectively with patients, parents, trainers, and healthcare providers
- act as liaison between patients and healthcare providers
- maintain clinical documentation within EHR systems
- schedule patients and obtain insurance authorizations
- collaborate with healthcare and interprofessional teams
- assist with supply ordering and maintain inventory
- support day-to-day operations and compliance of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program
- manage and maintain program documentation and data
- utilize data management and video conferencing software
- communicate with residents, faculty, hospital administration, and education offices
- coordinate schedules for residents and faculty
- organize meetings, take minutes, and plan events
- assist with recruitment of residents and faculty
- solicit community support per policies
- provide emotional and logistical support to fellows and residents
- balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced academic clinical environment
- perform other duties as assigned
