Job Description
VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital is a renowned veterinary care provider based in Mead, Washington, committed to offering top-tier medical and support services to pets and their owners. As part of the larger VCA network, this animal hospital is dedicated to maintaining your pet's health through comprehensive veterinary services delivered by a compassionate team of professionals. With a mission centered on making your pet’s well-being a priority and ensuring excellent customer service, VCA Peone Pines places patient care and client satisfaction at the forefront of its operations. The hospital fosters a welcoming environment where pet owners feel confident and supported when entrusting their beloved animals into its care. It operates as a full-time employer offering competitive salary ranges and benefits that underscore their commitment to employee well-being and professional growth.
The role of Client Service Representative at VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital is a vital position that acts as the bridge between the hospital and its clients. This full-time role pays between $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, depending on experience, and typically involves working approximately 17 to 20 hours with two shifts per week, including Monday through Friday (7:15 am-6:00 pm) and Saturday (7:30 am-3:00 pm) with rotating Saturday shifts.
As the Client Service Representative, you are the first point of contact for every pet owner who walks through the doors or calls the hospital. Your responsibility is to embody professionalism and warmth, delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with the hospital’s mission of exceeding pet owners’ expectations. You will manage crucial front-desk functions including greeting visitors, handling telephone communications, and guiding clients and their pets to examination rooms. Appointment scheduling and follow-up calls are another key part of the job, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
Financial transactions and explaining service fees also fall within your remit, alongside product recommendations — including prescriptions — and educating clients on essential aspects of pet care such as heartworm prevention, flea and tick control, and basic animal husbandry. You will also manage medical records, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold the clean and safe condition of the animal hospital, including the removal of animal waste and general facility maintenance.
This role requires a dynamic, dependable individual who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in being the pivotal support for the veterinary team and clients alike. VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer that supports veterans and individuals with disabilities. They emphasize growth, equality, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation and sick days, 401(k) retirement options, and employee pet discounts.
If you are passionate about animal care and customer service, this position offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and mission-driven team that values exemplary service and professional dedication.
