Job Description

Vanguard is a leading investment management company renowned for its client-first mentality and commitment to empowering investors. Established with a mission to stand for all investors, treat them fairly, and provide them with the best chances for investment success, Vanguard has built a reputation for integrity, innovation, and exceptional service. The company focuses on the long-term financial well-being of its clients, striving to transform lives through top-tier products and services. With a global presence extending from Malvern to Melbourne, Vanguard continually evolves to meet the dynamic needs of investors in today's complex financial landscape.

This specific role is for a Client Service Excellence Center associate, part of Vanguard's dedicated team often referred to as the "crew." Associates in this role play a pivotal part in fulfilling Vanguard’s mission by providing personalized support to clients during critical life moments such as buying a home or planning for retirement. The position involves handling inbound phone calls, addressing a broad range of account-related inquiries, and offering empathetic, precise solutions tailored to each client's unique circumstances. By focusing on delivering exceptional client experiences, associates help ensure that every investor feels supported, understood, and empowered to make sound financial decisions.

This role offers a fully remote work model; however, all work must be performed within the state of Utah. The total potential compensation for the first full year ranges between $60,500 and $67,500. This includes a base salary determined by skills and experience, quarterly performance-based bonuses, merit increases, and company bonuses. Additionally, there is an opportunity to earn up to a $15,000 bonus upon obtaining the required licensing. Vanguard also celebrates long-term commitment with milestone rewards such as $10,000 at the 3-year anniversary, $20,000 at the 5-year anniversary, and $20,000 every 5 years thereafter.

A key requirement for this role is the Series Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, which must be obtained no later than 14 calendar days before the start date. Vanguard supports candidates by providing training resources and covering exam costs. The job demands a Series 7 and 63 regulatory license and/or registration, determined by compliance based on the specific duties assigned. This role demands individuals who thrive on supporting clients, possess strong interpersonal skills, and are passionate about continuous learning and career growth within client services.

Working as a Client Service Excellence Representative at Vanguard means leading with empathy and an ownership mindset—anticipating client needs, resolving issues effectively, and collaborating internally to enhance overall experiences. This position demands a learner’s attitude, solid customer-facing experience, and a commitment to fostering long-term relationships with clients. While not requiring existing financial expertise, the role offers a fulfilling pathway for professionals eager to grow and make a measurable impact in the financial services arena.

At Vanguard, the culture centers on collaboration, development, and the long-term financial success of clients and crew alike, embracing innovative hybrid work models that blend the flexibility of remote work with opportunities for in-person engagement and learning. Join Vanguard and help redefine exceptional client service while advancing your career in a supportive and mission-driven environment.
