Job Description
Vanguard is a globally recognized investment management company with a strong commitment to putting clients first. Established as one of the world's largest asset management firms, Vanguard is dedicated to helping investors achieve their financial goals through a diverse range of products and services. The company prides itself on its mission to stand for all investors, treating them fairly and providing them with the best chance for investment success. This client-first mentality permeates every aspect of Vanguard's operations, from product development to client service, creating an environment where clients feel valued and supported throughout their investment journey.
The Client Service Excellence Center associate role at Vanguard offers an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on delivering outstanding client support via inbound phone communications. This fully remote position, based in Wisconsin, is ideal for individuals holding active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses who are passionate about helping others and growing their client service expertise. The role is fundamentally about connecting with clients during some of the most important moments in their financial lives, such as purchasing a home or planning for retirement, and providing them with timely, empathetic, and accurate assistance regarding their investment accounts.
As a Client Service Excellence Center associate, you will be part of Vanguard's mission-driven "crew," working to simplify investing and ensure clients feel confident and supported when they reach out for help. You will be responsible for managing a variety of client needs via inbound calls, including account maintenance, issue resolution, and financial inquiries, all while demonstrating ownership of client outcomes and cultivating trust through each interaction. The position demands strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to enhance both client and colleague experiences.
The compensation package for this role ranges from $70,500 to $81,500 annually, including a base salary between $62,000 and $72,000 depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonuses, merit increases, and company bonuses. Additionally, Vanguard offers a $20,000 licensing bonus to associates who bring active SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses. Recognizing the value of long-term commitment, Vanguard provides milestone rewards of $10,000 at the three-year mark, $20,000 at five years, and $20,000 every five years thereafter.
Vanguard emphasizes supporting its employees throughout all stages of life, offering a benefits package designed to promote financial security, career growth, longevity, and work-life balance. While this is a fully remote position, candidates are required to perform their duties from within Wisconsin. The company also stresses that new hires may need to maintain registration across all US states and territories to comply with regulatory requirements.
This role is perfect for individuals who are client-service oriented, eager to learn, and take pride in building a long-term career in the financial services industry. Those who already possess or are willing to obtain critical regulatory licenses will find a supportive environment focused on professional development and client advocacy. Vanguard’s culture encourages collaboration, continuous improvement, and above all, a steadfast dedication to the client’s financial well-being. Joining the Client Service Excellence Center means contributing to an organization that is not only a leader in investment management but also a champion for their clients’ financial success and stability.
