Job Description
Vanguard is a leading investment management company dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals and secure long-term financial wellbeing. Founded on principles of fairness, transparency, and client-centric service, Vanguard has distinguished itself in the financial industry by focusing on the mission 'to take a stand for all investors, to treat them fairly, and to give them the best chance for investment success.' The company combines its global expertise with a genuine commitment to client satisfaction, making it one of the most trusted names in investment services worldwide.
Vanguard operates as a fiduciary, putting clients' interests first and offering innovative products and services that empower investors to participate confidently in financial markets. With a culture that values personal growth, collaboration, and diversity, Vanguard fosters an environment where employees, or 'crew,' thrive professionally and personally.
The Client Service Excellence Center associate role at Vanguard offers a unique opportunity for individuals with active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses who are passionate about serving clients and building a career in client service within a fully remote model based in Iowa. This position is central to Vanguard's commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences by assisting clients during pivotal moments such as home purchases or retirement planning. Associates in this role engage with clients through inbound phone calls, addressing a wide array of financial inquiries including account maintenance and issue resolution.
In addition to a competitive base salary ranging from $62,000 to $72,000, associates benefit from quarterly performance-based bonuses, merit increases, and company bonuses that bring the total potential first-year compensation to between $70,500 and $81,500. A $20,000 licensing bonus is awarded for bringing active Series 7, Series 63, and SIE licenses. Moreover, Vanguard recognizes long-term dedication by offering milestone rewards with $10,000 at the 3-year anniversary, $20,000 at the 5-year anniversary, and $20,000 every five years thereafter.
This role requires collaboration both with clients and internal departments to continuously improve service quality and the overall experience for both clients and crew. Vanguard encourages a culture of empathy, ownership, and proactive problem-solving, where associates are expected to anticipate client needs, take initiative, and ensure every client interaction promotes trust and satisfaction.
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, at least three years of customer-facing or inbound phone experience, and a genuine desire to help others while advancing their expertise in client services. Educational qualifications accepted range from high school to bachelor's degree, supporting a diverse pool of candidates aspiring to build a stable, long-term career in financial client service.
Vanguard also emphasizes a supportive work environment that prioritizes balance, financial stability, career development, and wellness benefits designed to meet employees' needs across all life stages. Although the role is fully remote, associates must work from within the state of Iowa, complying with licensing and regulatory standards applicable to this position. Vanguard does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Joining Vanguard means more than just taking a job; it means becoming part of a mission-driven, collaborative team dedicated to empowering investors and cultivating a culture of excellence and integrity.
