Job Description

Vanguard is a leading investment management company dedicated to putting clients first and helping them achieve their financial goals. Renowned globally for its client-centric approach, Vanguard operates with an unwavering commitment to the mission, "to take a stand for all investors, to treat them fairly, and to give them the best chance for investment success." The company has cultivated a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning, attracting individuals who wish to make a meaningful impact in the financial industry. With offices spanning the globe, Vanguard has a hybrid working model to balance remote flexibility with in-person collaboration, fostering a thriving and inclusive work environment. This particular role is based in Scottsdale, AZ, and after completing a required hybrid licensing and training program, employees work remotely, reflecting Vanguard's focus on adaptability and work-life balance.

The Client Service Excellence Center associate at Vanguard plays a pivotal role in delivering exemplary client service by assisting investors with their financial needs during significant life events such as purchasing a home or planning for retirement. This position is responsible for managing inbound calls and addressing a wide spectrum of account-related inquiries. The role demands strong interpersonal skills and empathy, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout every interaction. Associates are expected to exhibit a strong sense of ownership by taking initiative in problem-solving and providing timely, accurate information.

Vanguard offers a competitive compensation package for this role, with a first-year total potential earning ranging from $60,500 to $81,500. This includes a base salary based on individual skills and experience, quarterly performance bonuses, merit increases, and company bonuses. Furthermore, employees receive up to a $12,500 licensing bonus upon obtaining the necessary financial licenses. Long-term rewards are also emphasized, with milestone bonuses of $10,000 after three years of service, $20,000 at five years, and recurring $20,000 awards every five years thereafter, signaling Vanguard's commitment to recognizing employee dedication.

The role encourages candidates with at least three years of customer-facing or inbound phone experience, emphasizing a passion for client service and a desire to grow professionally. While financial expertise is not a prerequisite, the job requires obtaining Series 7 and 63 regulatory licenses, underscoring the importance of compliance and knowledge in financial regulations. The associate will collaborate internally across departments to improve client and employee experiences continually. This role supports Vanguard’s broader goal of simplifying investing and fostering trustworthy relationships between clients and the company.

Joining Vanguard means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values financial wellbeing and personal growth. Its work environment promotes flexibility through remote work after training, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and benefits designed to support employees across all life stages. If you are motivated to help others, eager to develop your client service expertise in the financial sector, and desire a stable, rewarding career path, the Client Service Excellence Center associate is an ideal opportunity to contribute to Vanguard’s legacy of client advocacy and industry leadership.
