Sodexo is currently seeking a Client Executive I – Food Services to lead strategic food service operations at the Yale New Haven Health System, one of Connecticut’s most respected healthcare networks. This role specifically oversees food service operations at Yale New Haven Hospital’s York Street campus. The Client Executive I will play a vital leadership role in delivering operational excellence, ensuring financial performance targets are met, and cultivating strong client partnerships that support both retention and growth. Reporting to a Client Executive II, the individual in this position will collaborate closely with hospital senior leadership and Sodexo’s internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of food service programs and services. The role requires a strategic approach to overseeing day-to-day operations, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards. The Client Executive I is expected to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, support business development initiatives, and lead frontline management teams to achieve operational goals. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of management experience
- Minimum five years of functional experience in food service operations
- Proven experience managing large unionized frontline teams
- Experience working in high volume healthcare environments
- Strong union workforce management experience
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Ability to work with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders

Job Duties
- Oversee food service operations at Yale New Haven Hospital’s York Street campus
- Deliver operational excellence by meeting Sodexo service commitments that are predictable, reliable, and repeatable
- Ensure successful execution of contractual obligations, KPIs, and performance standards
- Coordinate and direct all account activities including financial performance, policy compliance, and employee development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership and key stakeholders
- Partner with Sodexo senior leadership to support client retention and growth initiatives
- Develop and manage annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with finance leadership
- Monitor financial performance and drive strategies to maintain strong fiscal outcomes
- Lead and develop frontline leaders and management teams to ensure strong operational performance
- Identify opportunities for business development and growth within existing client relationships
