Job Description
Chewy is a leading online retailer specializing in pet food and other pet-related products and services. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation, Chewy has expanded into veterinary care through Chewy Vet Care, a comprehensive veterinary practice launching new clinics in early 2024. Chewy Vet Care focuses on delivering personalized, patient-centric veterinary services, revolutionizing the traditional veterinary care experience by integrating advanced technology and a people-first work environment. This approach not only enhances care for pets but also fosters a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for veterinary teams. Chewy Vet Care’s mission is to become the most trusted and convenient choice for pet parents and veterinary partners everywhere.
The Client Concierge role within Chewy Vet Care represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking healthcare practice team. This full-time position places the Client Concierge at the front lines, engaging directly with pet parents to provide exceptional customer service and assist the clinical team. The role is crafted to support veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and the practice manager by managing front-end client interactions, patient intakes, and facilitating seamless communication within the practice. The Client Concierge is integral to embodying Chewy Vet Care’s culture of collaboration, empathy, and professionalism to ensure each pet parent has a positive and reassuring experience.
In this role, the Client Concierge will utilize advanced practice management technology to maintain efficient workflow and uphold the practice’s standard operating procedures and standards of care. Responsibilities include managing patient intake, assisting with inventory communication, maintaining clean and organized workspaces, and participating in self-development and compliance training. The position demands excellent social, verbal, written communication, observational, and analytical skills, with a particular emphasis on empathy and the ability to connect meaningfully with clients. Candidates should be comfortable in fast-paced environments and capable of handling physical job requirements such as standing for extended periods and lifting various weights with team assistance when necessary.
Compensation for this role ranges between $14.18 and $21.39 per hour, based on factors including experience, education, and location, alongside eligibility for a 401k plan. Chewy offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, disability coverage, and supplemental insurance options. Additional benefits include paid parental leave, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine services, a pet adoption reimbursement program, and employee discounts on pet insurance and Chewy.com products. Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off and six paid holidays annually, with access to paid sick and family leave according to applicable laws.
Chewy Vet Care is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, being an equal opportunity employer. The company ensures reasonable accommodations during the application process or for job performance under laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing compassionate customer service in a veterinary environment, eager to contribute to a team dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their families.
