Job Requirements

  • Standard high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of cashiering concepts and proper money-handling procedures
  • knowledge in customer service techniques
  • ability to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment
  • professional communication skills with hostile customers in person and via phone
  • knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and basic data entry procedures
  • skills in office methods and techniques
  • skills using computer applications and performing accurate data entry
  • skills with office machines such as fax, copiers, and cash registers
  • skills processing credit card and cash payments
  • skills in public relations and effective communication
  • ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision
  • ability to accurately reconcile a cash drawer
  • ability to advise students and community members professionally
  • ability to resolve conflicts
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Standard high school diploma or GED equivalent plus one year related experience or any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling one year
  • preferred associate's degree plus one to three years experience
  • ability to communicate over public two-way radio is preferred

Job Duties

  • Processes requests for parking authorization
  • receives payments for parking violations and permit purchases
  • advises and informs students, parents, employees, and the community regarding parking information
  • enters data into the parking operating system
  • researches problems with violations and performs payment research and verification of parking eligibility
  • performs other job related duties as assigned
