The role of Cleaning Technician at Methodist Women’s Hospital, located at 707 N 190th Plaza in Elkhorn, NE, is a crucial position within the Nebraska Methodist Health System. This role is designed for individuals committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in various hospital areas including patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, public spaces, and office areas. Operating on a Monday through Friday schedule from 3 pm to 11:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday included, this position comes with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, making it an attractive career opportunity.

A Cleaning Technician’s primary responsibilities include performing routine cleaning using established procedures, operating cleaning equipment safely such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors, and handling cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure proper dilution and application. Job Duties

  • Cleans and services assigned areas of the facility in a timely manner using established procedures
  • maintains and operates cleaning equipment such as carts, buckets, vacuums, buffers, and extractors safely
  • mixes and uses cleaning chemicals and products according to manufacturer’s directions and department procedures
  • sorts and places clean linen into appropriate shelves and exchange carts
  • stocks linen supply to patient care areas to maintain par levels
  • performs daily cleaning of the linen storage and distribution area
  • reports any problems, deficiencies, or equipment issues to team leader or supervisor
