The role of Cleaning Specialist (Housekeeping/Porter) at BCJ Building Services involves maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and order across multi-family residential buildings and commercial properties. Job Requirements

  • must be able to stand and walk for at least 8 continuous hours
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 15 pounds for extended periods

Job Duties

  • perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the assigned property
  • clean and disinfect bathrooms including sinks toilets mirrors and floors
  • clean and disinfect kitchen areas
  • wipe and disinfect surfaces in rooms including furniture equipment partitions walls doors baseboards and décor
  • vacuum carpets clean floors rugs furniture and curtains
  • empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas
  • follow all safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or damage
  • report any broken or malfunctioning equipment furniture or fixtures to maintenance or management
  • perform other cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management
