The role of the Floor Care Associate at TJ Maxx is an integral position responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment. This position emphasizes floor care including operating equipment such as scrubbers and buffers alongside dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Operate the scrubber and buffer to maintain floor cleanliness
  • perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming duties
  • dust and spot clean glass and windows
  • adhere to all operational and loss prevention standards
  • maintain cleanliness standards throughout the store including Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms
  • ensure health and safety compliance including refilling essential items
  • cross-train and support other store areas such as Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor
  • respond to Front End coverage needs
  • uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • participate in store recovery activities as needed
  • communicate effectively with management and associates
  • adhere to labor laws and associate meal and break policies
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
