The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) is a pivotal public transportation provider serving Lucas County and parts of Wood County, Ohio. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform physical tasks including crawling, standing for extended periods, reaching above shoulder height to handle objects over 25 lbs, and walking for prolonged durations
- effective communication skills
- ability to read and write simple work orders
- basic safety knowledge
- willingness to work variable shifts including weekends
- capable of lifting and carrying weights up to 20 lbs occasionally with no lifting over 20 lbs
- able to work in a noisy and busy environment

- understanding of basic operation requirements of bus
- knowledge of safety procedures
- proficiently use appropriate tools and equipment
- communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- read and comprehend written materials
- write simple work orders

- willing to learn additional skills on the job to advance toward upper-level position
Job Duties
- Deep cleaning of the bus
- cleaning the interior of bus in preparation for daily operation
- alerting supervisor to more complex mechanical problems
- remove trash and debris
- clean work area and equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
