As a General Cleaner at FCS Facility Services, you will join a dedicated cleaning team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards at our clients' premises. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $16.50 and requires attentiveness, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The role includes diverse cleaning duties such as surface cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, restroom maintenance, trash removal, and assistance with floor care. In this role, you will operate various cleaning equipment and apply the appropriate cleaning agents while adhering to safety procedures and company policies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to handle physical workload involving lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to work the scheduled shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm
- Willingness to comply with safety and company policies
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina and flexibility to perform cleaning tasks including bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Dependability and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and procedures
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize various surfaces including floors, walls, windows, furniture, and fixtures
- Dust surfaces, furniture, and equipment thoroughly
- Polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness
- Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt, dust, and debris
- Sweep and mop hard surface floors paying attention to corners and hard-to-reach areas
- Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper rolls
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dispose of trash and recyclables according to proper procedures
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom amenities
- Assist floor technicians with buffing, waxing, and stripping floors
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
