ABM (NYSE: ABM) stands as one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, dedicated to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments across various industries. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients globally, generating nearly $8 billion in annual revenue. Operating through a vast network of more than 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM employs over 100,000 team members committed to excellence in facility management. ABM’s comprehensive service offerings include janitorial services, engineering, parking management, electrical and lighting solutions, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf maintenance, as well as mission-critical facility operations. These services cater to a diverse portfolio of clients such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more.

The Cleaner role at ABM is vital to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of assigned areas within client facilities. This entry-level position is well-suited for individuals new to the workforce or those returning with limited experience or education. ABM emphasizes providing on-the-job training, enabling individuals without formal educational credentials—such as high school diplomas or college degrees—to succeed and develop valuable skills. While no prior experience is required, candidates with customer service backgrounds or one year of similar work experience are preferred. Responsibilities primarily involve cleaning and maintaining buildings, carefully following proper procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage. The Cleaner will routinely communicate with managers to report necessary repairs or additions related to building operations, ensuring the optimal functionality of client facilities.

Additional duties include cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, and other surfaces; moving furniture or equipment as needed to access cleaning areas; washing interior glass and mirrors; handling waste disposal; and performing occasional seasonal tasks such as snow removal or lawn care. Attention to safety, security, and compliance standards is paramount, with the Cleaner expected to adhere to all company and regulatory procedures. ABM champions an inclusive work environment, encouraging military veterans and individuals with military occupational specialty codes such as 92S, 92Y, LS, and DC to apply. The company supports veteran employment by offering comprehensive training programs and career advancement opportunities.

ABM provides a robust benefits package designed to support the health, wellness, and financial security of its employees. Specific information about benefits can be accessed through the ABM Employee Benefits portal tailored for frontline team members. ABM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
