The Clean Team Member position at Thorntons LLC involves various responsibilities centered on maintaining the cleanliness and organization of merchandise within the store, as well as supporting the store’s goals and initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager or Store Manager, this role requires an individual who consistently delivers excellent customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude. The Clean Team Member keeps all store areas organized, including coolers, fast lane merchandise, shelves, and displays, ensuring that these are fully stocked and presented in an appealing manner. Beyond stocking duties, the role requires cleaning and maintaining equipment, such as coffee and fountain drink stations, which are high-margin products critical to the store’s profitability.

In addition to indoor responsibilities, the Clean Team Member is tasked with cleaning windows, floors, shelves, counters, gas pumps, and restrooms following daily checklists and store operating procedures. The role also involves outdoor duties such as cleaning the parking lot and grounds surrounding the store when needed. This ensures the entire store environment remains attractive and safe for customers and employees alike. The Clean Team Member must be vigilant in identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety problems to store management to uphold safety standards.

Safety is a crucial aspect of this role, requiring the Clean Team Member to practice safe working habits in alignment with company safety rules. The position involves proper use of the Customer Service Department to address any customer service issues, and the employee must stay familiar with all relevant Thorntons policies applicable to their position as outlined on Thorntons' intranet. Additional duties may be assigned to meet the evolving needs of the store environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high energy level, a strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team. While all experience levels will be considered, the ability to communicate clearly in English is essential. Physical requirements include the capability to climb ladders to clean windows, stock shelves, and make price changes. Accurate timekeeping using the TOTS system and understanding the importance of company funds are also important aspects of this position.
