Job Description
Wineshipping is a leading logistics provider specializing in the wine industry since 1998, with a reputation for protecting clients' brands with unmatched expertise and innovative technology. Located in Napa County, this company has been voted the Best Place to Work repeatedly, offering a climate-controlled working environment ideal for handling wine and ensuring both the product and employees remain in optimal conditions. At the core of their service, Wineshipping supports wineries in growing their business by offering superior logistics services tailored specifically to the wine industry.
The Class C Delivery Driver (Inter-warehouse/Box Truck Driver) role at Wineshipping is a dynamic and integral position essential to the company's ongoing success in delivering excellent customer service and efficient product transportation. Drivers will be tasked with handling high volumes of packages, many weighing up to 60 pounds, and are responsible for the entire transportation and warehousing process, including picking, packing, loading, and delivering packages accurately and on time. This role requires a commitment to excellence, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can frequently change.
In this role, the delivery driver acts as a freight wrangler who expertly unloads incoming shipments using tools like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring the quality of all incoming goods is up to standard. As a wine road warrior, the driver will operate company trucks, delivering wine products to their destinations with accompanying paperwork, all while adhering strictly to safety regulations and maintaining compliance with federal and state laws. The position also incorporates maintaining detailed travel and cargo logs and communicating effectively with dispatch to stay updated on route changes or important instructions.
Wineshipping encourages versatility as employees may be involved in different warehouse roles beyond their primary duties, making this position ideal for those looking to grow their skill set in logistics. Additional benefits such as bilingual skill welcome, flexible working hours, and opportunities for involvement in special projects add to the appeal of this role. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment, making it a great place for individuals dedicated to logistics and customer service excellence in the wine industry.
