Job Description

TCI is a well-established, family-owned transportation and logistics company that has been operating since 1978. With over four decades of experience in the industry, TCI has developed a strong reputation for prioritizing safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on fostering a positive and dynamic workplace culture where each team member is valued and encouraged to contribute innovative ideas. Rooted deeply in ethical business practices and transparent operations, TCI stands as a reliable and trustworthy partner for logistics needs in the Commerce, California area and beyond.

TCI is currently seeking local Class B Delivery Drivers to join their dedicated team in Commerce, California. This position offers a competitive wage of $26.50 per hour, including overtime pay opportunities. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while performing local deliveries of McDonald’s bread products to multiple stores on a set daily route. Drivers will start their shifts early at 3:00 AM and typically work 5 to 6 days per week, with Wednesdays off. The average workload is approximately 50 hours per week, offering a steady schedule with predictable daily tasks and stops.

In this position, drivers will be transporting frozen bread trays to about 8 to 12 McDonald’s store locations daily. They will be responsible for building orders, which includes lifting trays off the top of stacked pallets, unloading, and then pushing stacks of bread trays on dollies to each store manager. The role also involves counting the deliveries and collecting empty trays to return to the base. A hands-on approach and the ability to manage physical tasks such as lifting and maneuvering heavy trays safely and efficiently are essential for success in this role.

Driving safely and maintaining a satisfactory driving record is a key requirement, as well as having at least 12 months of Class A driving experience in the past two years. Candidates must pass employment verification for the last three years and meet TCI’s safety insurance criteria to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations. Beyond the core duties, drivers at TCI are supported by a comprehensive benefits package, emphasizing employee well-being and job satisfaction.

TCI offers weekly paychecks with direct deposit availability for convenience and reliability. Safety incentives can increase annual earnings by up to $1,200, rewarding drivers who maintain an excellent safety record. The company also provides a robust driver referral program, medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, and employer-paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, earned time off, paid holidays, and an employee discount program through LifeMart. This combination of competitive wages, consistent scheduling, and comprehensive benefits makes the Class B Delivery Driver position at TCI an attractive opportunity for experienced drivers looking for a stable and rewarding career in the logistics sector.
