Job Description

ProDrivers is a reputable transportation company dedicated to providing dependable and efficient delivery services with a focus on safety, respect, and fair compensation. Serving key areas such as Garden Grove and Santa Ana, California, ProDrivers has earned a strong reputation for valuing its employees and fostering a supportive work environment where people truly matter. The company operates primarily in the logistics and transportation sector, specializing in box truck deliveries, including food products and various miscellaneous items. ProDrivers offers stability, a family-oriented atmosphere, and an emphasis on safety standards, making it an excellent workplace for CDL drivers seeking long-term employment with predictable schedules and competitive pay. Employees benefit from a clean, professional, and respectful work environment that values their contributions and prioritizes their well-being.

This current job opening is for a Class B CDL Driver in the Garden Grove and Santa Ana areas. This full-time role offers a schedule of Monday through Friday with no overnight travel required, allowing drivers to enjoy weekends off and a healthy work-life balance. Drivers typically start their shifts between 6 AM and 4 PM and work primarily during regular daytime hours. The role requires operating a 24-foot box truck to pick up and deliver food and miscellaneous products to various sites across Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties. Drivers will work with food donors, partner agencies, and volunteers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods. The position also involves some physical activity such as assisting with offloading goods using lift gates and pallet jacks and handling items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

The compensation for this role ranges from $23 to $25 per hour depending on the location. Overtime is paid after 8 hours with double time after 12 hours, ensuring fair pay for extended shifts. Paychecks are issued every Friday, contributing to financial security and prompt payment. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance for the driver and their family, driver safety incentives, IRA options, life insurance (including AD&D coverage), and holiday pay.

In this role, CDL drivers act as a critical link in the food supply chain by transporting donated food from donors to distribution sites and member agencies. They maintain food safety by properly packaging, labeling, sorting, and shelving items in compliance with health codes. Additionally, CDL drivers may operate forklifts and other power or manual equipment to handle heavier loads and ensure the warehouse and vehicles are maintained properly. Teamwork is emphasized, as drivers often collaborate with volunteers and partner agencies and may be asked to help direct volunteers during food distribution events.

Overall, this CDL Driver position at ProDrivers offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced drivers seeking stable, fair-paying employment within a company that truly values its employees and prioritizes safety, respect, and community impact. Candidates who meet the requirements and share these values are encouraged to apply and join the team that delivers not only goods but also support and care to communities in need.
