The company is dedicated to empowering customers, employees, and communities, fostering a culture built on trust, respect, and professional growth. Core-Mark's commitment to safety, inclusion, and comprehensive benefits has made it a top choice for employment in the transportation and logistics industry.

We are currently seeking a reliable, professional Driver for the Knoxville, Tennessee location. This is a transportation role with a competitive starting wage of $24 per hour and a lucrative $4,000 sign-on bonus. The position follows a unique work schedule, operating nights from Sunday to Thursday with dispatches starting at 6 pm. The Driver, Shuttle plays an indispensable role in the food supply chain by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of trailers, both empty and full, between warehouse locations and shuttle yards. This role ensures that product deliveries occur seamlessly, supporting food distribution operations crucial to the American food supply system.

As a Driver, you will operate a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck on both intrastate and interstate routes. Your duties include transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and moving full trailers loaded with various products to shuttle yard destinations efficiently and safely, all while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations. Furthermore, you will be the face of Core-Mark to customers and vendors, maintaining positive professional relationships that reflect our company's values and standards. This role requires not only technical driving skills but also teamwork, communication, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards throughout every phase of your task.

The role extends beyond driving; responsibilities include conducting mandatory pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, reporting any safety concerns or required repairs promptly, and ensuring compliance with DOT safety policies. You will manage route paperwork conscientiously and participate in hook and unhook procedures according to safety guidelines. Additional responsibilities involve securing and locking equipment and freight, unloading materials, removing trash from trailers, and recording hours of service in compliance with federal and company regulations. This position demands physical dexterity as you will be handling freight weighing between 60 and 90 pounds using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.

Core-Mark values its employees and offers comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness programs, a 401K with employer matching, an employee stock purchase plan, education assistance, and paid time off.
