The Driver, Dedicated Backhaul role is key to maintaining the company’s operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay starting at $170 per shuttle plus a daily per diem of $22.50, with a schedule from Sunday to Thursday. Dispatch times may occur at 12 pm or earlier, with potential shifts beginning as early as 10 or 11 am. Additionally, the position includes a sign-on bonus of $7,500, subject to terms and conditions.
Food and food service delivery drivers at PFG Customized Distribution are integral to the food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers. This role involves driving various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers (day cab or sleeper), tandem trailers, and straight trucks over intrastate and interstate routes. Drivers will manage pick-ups from suppliers, vendors, and PFG warehouses, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 6 plus months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21 plus years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases/freight

Job Duties
- Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations according to predetermined route and delivery schedule
- Deliver assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory
- Perform load and paperwork inspections including product counts, invoices, and quality checks
- Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly for backhaul operations
- Check in routinely with direct supervisor to confirm route, load, and schedule, and report any issues
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary end-of-shift paperwork
- Perform other related duties as assigned
